Memories

I love going back through old photos and reliving the captured memories. As everyone knows, with the move to digital photos its easy to take the pictures, but also sort of just as easy to forget about them. The other day I pulled out my old Canon and realized there were photos on it I hadn't even downloaded yet. I had completely forgotten all about them. Finding them was such a fun little surprise! Of course once I downloaded them, I had to click through all my photos on iPhoto to relive the memories. It really is cool how you can remember certain details about the day or how you were feeling all from looking at a picture. Here are some of my favorite photos and memories from the last year. Enjoy!

Wrenn's 1st flight (She feel asleep before we even took off and sleep the entire flight!)
At C2E2 (Pam from True Blood was in line right behind us at the Starbucks!)
1st Father's Day (I took this right before Dan had to head to work. One of my all time favorites!)

Family photo at "The Bean" (Dan and Wrenn unexpectedly met me after work this day.)
Holstein Park 100 Year Celebration (It was incredibly hot this day!)
Bath time (This was one of Wrenn's first baths in the "big girl tub".)
1st Summer Vacation at Isle of Palms (Wrenn LOVED the swimming pool!)
Playtime (Once she figured out how to push the buttons, this quickly became one of her go-to toys.)
Laundry helper (Baby Girl loves to help with the laundry!)
Sunday at the Aquarium (Another super hot day!)
Aquarium outing (Dan snapped this one right after we left the aquarium.)
1st Birthday Party at Isle of Palms (We had a great time with all of our family!)
Game day face (This was the beginning of "the stinker face".)
Monica and Mike's rehearsal dinner (Little Miss was all smiles even though she was starting to get sick.)
Monica and Mike's reception (Poor Buggie was a trooper at the wedding and reception even though she didn't sleep the entire day.)
Halloween (Little Red Riding Hood was so excited she could hardly sit still!)
Gray's birthday party (Gray was too cute and the cake was super yummy!)
Sleepy time (Tuckered after Gray's birthday party.)
Christmas morning (Wrenn when she saw all the presents from Santa on Christmas morning!)

Give Me Some Gold Because I've Got The Blues

Happy Friday!  I hope you have exciting plans this weekend.  The hubby and I will continue working on decorating and getting our house ready for the twin's 2nd birthday party in a few weeks. We haven't done much since we moved in over a year ago and the hubby got it in his head that we really need to get our house decorated before the big event.  We have been quickly adding new pieces to our home. I am really liking the look of navy and gold together.  Here are some of my favorite pieces that we have either already incorporated into our decor or that I'm secretly lusting after.

1. Storage bin - Land of Nod   2. Console table - World Market  3. Blanket - Pottery Barn
4.  Lamp - Serena and Lily  5. Print -  Redbubble   6. Pillows - Grandin Road  7. Mirror - Grandin Road  8. Accent table - World Market (rats! no longer available)  9. Ottoman - West Elm

Weekend Recap

Family fun at the park!

Little Miss being silly. Love her giggles!

Wrenn has started borrowing Lucy's food and placing it in random locations. Found these on the top shelf of her kitchen.

Accidentally walked down the wrong aisle in Target and these jumped into my cart. Oh well, guess I have to eat them, right?

This little stinker got into my bag and helped herself to a cookie.

Hope you had a great weekend!

Bookies! Day 5

This category was the hardest because I just love books!   I slected the books that met one or more of the following criteria (many met all three!).

1) I couldn't put the book down once I started reading.
2) The characters/story stayed with me long after the last page.
3) I have read the book more than once.

I tried really hard to keep the number to 8, but after typing the above criteria there is one more book that definitely belongs in the my top favorites.  (Yes I ready a lot of young adult books, but these days that's about all I have time to read!)

Bookies! Day 4

I changed up this category from what the other blog did (she did religious books) because I feel there aren't a lot of good resources for books for twins.  So for today, select your own category of books that isn't celebrated enough and let me know your favorites!  Or if you have twins/multiples let me know what books are your favorites!

Bookies! Day 3

Some of my all time favorite books growing up included female leads that were strong and a little mischevious! I hope my knuffle bunny loves them as much as I do.  After choosing my top books for girls I realized I forgot one of my all time top favorites and I just wouldn't be satisfied with this post unless I included it.

Bookies!

Last week one of my favorite blogs- Jones Design Company - did a series of post on books. Each day she selected a category of books and posted her favorites.  I grew up in a family of book lovers, married a man from a family of book lovers, and in return produced two beautiful book- loving children. I loved her series and decided that this week I will repeat her blog series with my own favorite books..  You can join in on the fun too!  Each day leave us a comment of your favorite books in each category.

Surprise....It's a BOY!!

I've been a little out of the blog loop lately, but as you can see, a lot has been going on! I sort of  felt like I needed to unplug for awhile (plus up until about 16 weeks, I was nauseous 24/7, which needless to say was miserable). We are at 21 weeks and just found out on Monday that this little nugget is a boy. Don't worry, the little guy already has 6 outfits ready to go! We're super excited and can't wait to meet him the end of May!

Looking forward to catching up!
