Half of 2twisters is out sick. What a nightmare ride she has had over the past few days. First Wrenn spends the good part of 2 days with a terrible stomach bug and now Jess is out sick. Get well soon SISTOR your fans miss you! And I miss our daily work calls.
The other half of 2twisters has been crazy busy with work and with plotting on how to get the twins to just go to sleep! We recently converted the twins beds to toddler beds and if you do the math it looks like this: two twins + freedom to roam = slumber party USA. The hubby and I have been strategizing on how to get them to sleep. After many attempts and walking in to see scenarios like below one too many times, I think we have finally formulated a winning plan.
Step 1) Weld lamp and monitor to bookcase. Problem solved: No more almost burning the house down scares and no more beeping monitors in the middle of the night.
Step 2) Turn bookcase and dresser to face the wall. Problem solved: No more let's pull all the books and all the clothes out of the dresser games.
Step 3) Hang black out curtains, cover all LED lights from monitor and CD player. Problem solved: No more light to see to roam around.
Step 4) Doggie, Dollie, Paci time outs for little stinkers who don't stay in their beds. Problem solved: No more stinkers getting out of bed.
Step 5) Take each child into separate room to sit quietly before putting them in bed. Problem solved: Each child has time to calm down without the other child keeping them awake.
The past two nights have been successful and the kids have fallen asleep within 30-40 mins from the time we leave the room.
Fingers-crossed it continues to work. The war is far from over!
